The Ministry of Energy called on subscribers in the industrial and commercial sectors to take advantage of the initiative to pay 50% of the value of the electricity bill for the months (April, May, and June), as part of a package of initiatives previously ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to face the financial and economic impacts on the private sector and the economic activities, most affected by (COVID-19) pandemic, as about 1.6 million subscribers benefit from this initiative.
The Ministry indicated that the mechanism for benefiting from this initiative comes automatically by paying half of the bill through the approved payment channels, not need to contact the service provider, provided that the rest of the dues are collected in divided payments for a period of six months starting from January 2021, with the possibility of postponing a period payment if needed.
It is noteworthy that the generous directive from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques came to confirm his keenness to continue economic stability in the Kingdom after the whole world was affected by "Covid-19".
