HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, met today with H.E. Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
During the meeting, they discussed the Kingdom’s efforts in addressing climate change and the Kingdom’s initiatives for providing clean cooking fuel solutions and reducing emissions. They also discussed the role of the Saudi and Middle East Green Initiatives in achieving these goals by adopting the circular carbon economy (CCE) framework.
The two sides highlighted the Kingdom's hosting of the MENA Climate Week for 2023, organized in collaboration with the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) last October.
