HRH Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, said that the Ministry is working on a program to localize 75% of jobs in energy sector, indicating that human resources development is the most important measure for determining the development of any society.
Addressing the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) conference in Riyadh today, HRH added that energy sector has the best opportunity to achieve the 75% localization by 2030.
The Minister highlighted that according to global statistics, female participation rate in energy sector is lower than other sectors which makes the task ‘mammoth and difficult, but doable’ through implementing a holistic approach.
The energy sector is working continuously to embower females, and reach out to schools and universities to attract youth, he added. The Minister also stressed that the energy has the strategies and KPIs to achieve its objectives through focusing on human capabilities.
