Discovery of Two Oil and Gas Fields in Northern Border and Al-Jawf Regions

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, announced that the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, "Saudi Aramco", was discovered two new oil and gas fields in the northern parts of the Kingdom: the "Hadabat Al-Hajarah" gas field in the Al-Jawf region, and the "Abraq Al-Toloul" oil and gas field in the northern border region.In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, His Highness indicated that condensate-rich gas flowed from the Al-Sarara reservoir in the Hadabat Al-Hajarah field, east of Sakaka, at a rate of 16 million standard cubic feet per day, along with (1944) bpd of oil condensate. His Highness, the Minister of Energy, added that the unconventional excellent light Arabian oil flowed from Al-Sharurah reservoir in the Abraq Al-Toloul field in the southeast of Arar, at a rate of (3189) bpd, along with about (1.1) million standard cubic feet of gas per day, while gas flowed from the Qawara reservoir in the same field, at a rate of (2,4) standard cubic feet per day, along with 49 bpd of condensate.He indicated that Saudi Aramco would carry on with its efforts to estimate the total amount of oil and gas in the two fields and was drilling more wells to determine their areas and capacities. His Highness concluded his statement, with praise to God for the good and blessings He has bestowed upon this country.​
