Inspection teams, under the supervision of the Executive Committee of Service Centers and Gas Stations, inspected 1,371 gas stations across 78 cities and governorates in Saudi Arabia on December 30 and 31, 2024. The inspections aimed to assess the availability of various petroleum products.
Through monitoring and swift response to reports, several violations were identified, including the unavailability of essential petroleum products and the failure to supply or sell diesel fuel. As a result, 152 gas stations were penalized, and 12 stations were shut down.
The Executive Committee emphasized the importance of gas stations adhering to gas stations and service centers requirements and regulations. This includes ensuring qualified management and continuous provision of required petroleum products, based on the station's classification. The Committee stressed that it would take a firm stance on regulatory penalties for violators.
Technical teams will continue inspections throughout the year in collaboration with all relevant authorities to ensure compliance as part of the broader efforts to enhance the sector and improve service quality for the public. The Committee urged individuals to report any violations at gas stations or service centers by contacting the unified hotline at 8001244777 or via the "Partner Service" app, available on both Apple and Android platforms.
