Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met today in Riyadh with Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, and Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat.
During the meeting, the Ministers discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy, and hydrogen. The discussions aimed to align with the leaderships' visions and the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.
The Ministers also reviewed the progress of joint projects, including the electrical interconnection project between the Saudi and Egyptian power grids—the two largest power grids in the region. The Project is set to enhance the stability and reliability of power supply between the two countries and maximize the economic and developmental returns from joint electrical projects.
