HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, met in Riyadh today with H.E. Dr. Robert Habeck, the German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
During the meeting, they discussed areas of mutual interest between the two countries in the fields of energy and ways to enhance them.
The two sides discussed cooperation in fields of electricity, clean energy, energy efficiency, clean hydrogen, supply chains, and sustainable materials as part of the Circular Carbon Economy (CCE) framework.
The two ministers reviewed cooperation developments associated with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) previously signed on hydrogen production and utilization, which falls under the Saudi-German cooperation in the hydrogen field, a part of the ongoing Saudi-German Energy Dialogue aiming to reinforce sustainability and achieve Paris Agreement goals in terms of curbing emissions.
